Trump for President?

Donald Trump says that he might be running for president in 2012.  He thinks that an independent candidate might actually have a chance now given the latest results.  He also thinks that China was laughing at us as a country and the Obama is failing to address this.  He says he will run as a republican and that it will probably cost him $200 million dollars of his own money.  Can he beat Palin?  He seems to think so.  I actually hope he does run.  It would make the race interesting to say the least.

iPad, Friend or Foe?

I have been testing out an iPad to see how our corporate applications will work with it and so far I must say that I am impressed.  I like that almost all of the information that I need is at my fingertips.  It is basically a blackberry on steroids.  Several tasks are tedious on a blackberry like looking at a big spreadsheet or a long document etc.  The iPad makes all of these tasks simple and kinda fun.  The issue that I see now is what I will call manners.  Since the iPad lets me keep on top of my emails and calendar so quickly and easily I find myself checking and writing emails during meetings.  I am still able to participate so I think I have the best of both worlds but then again, keeping my nose in my iPad is probably rude.  There has to be a happy medium.  I just don’t know what it is yet.

Managing Your Personal Brand

Do you manage your online brand?

Several sites say that managing your online identity is critical and that you should be addressing any negative comments that are available about you online.  I Googled myself and surprise, surprise, there is nothing really out there about me good or bad.  I decided that maybe I was not looking hard enough so I just setup a Google Alert on myself.  It is quick and simple.  Go to http://www.google.com/alerts and follow the instructions.  The alert that I got back was not about me at all. 

Now the real question is; do I need to worry about this at all?
